I would like to know how do I register to iTunes without a credit card number. I would like to download the free apps but I can't since when registering for an iTunes account they ask me for a valid credit card number and I have none. What can I do?

You'll need to get an iTunes gift card or one of the many promotional codes we give away, and click 'Redeem' in the iTunes Store. You should be able to create an account from there without any credit card details.

Ignore the other posts. All you have to do is download a FREE app. Upon the appearance of the sign in box, select create a new account. Be sure that during the account creation process, to deselect the default credit card option (select the option to provide the credit card later--upon the purchase if a paid app).

The aforementioned is the only possible way of doing it. You cannot create an account without a credit card without downloading a free app.

You really do not need a credit card in order to have an account as you pretty much just register like how you would on a normal forum.

Though you would need a valid credit card you could use when you are already going to make purchases on the app store. But there are a ton of other free apps you could try and play so that you do not spend on games that are paid.
